Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU)    

Manonmaniam Sundaranar University was established in 1990, as per the Act 31 of 1990 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, as a Teaching-cum-affiliating University. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

About eighty thousand students are studying in the various University Departments and the eighty affiliated colleges including two constituent colleges. MSU is one of the pioneer institutions that offers Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). The courses and research programmes offered by the University have been carefully chosen after considering the contemporary times. The University Departments offer M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes (Full time and Part time) in addition to regular P. G. Programmes.
